It's a bird! It's a plane! No... it's Max Tucci! Max, heir to the famed Oscar's Delmonico Restaurant, is a radio host of MAX & Friends on LA Talk Radio, owner of Oscar's Delmonico Vodka, celebrity chef, featured lifestyle expert on America's Next Top Model, author, philanthropist, and one of New York's Most Eligible Bachelors according to Gotham Magazine. But, his most important role in life is giving back. Max says, "My dedication to giving back, and wanting to help make a difference in this world was wonderfully noticed by The American Diabetes Association. I was awarded with ‘The Young Leadership in Philanthropy Award.’ That award validated my existence. I was born an Aquarius, the absolute perfect sign that embodies being a humanitarian and leading the way for charities." Tucci was born into an aristocratic and nobel family from Florence, Italy and Lithuania. Max at an early age started to display Super Abilities. At the age of six, he asked his father how he could help feed the hungry. His father responded by setting a table at Delmonico's to serve the less fortunate. The table in Connecticut was named “The Oscarino Tucci Table for the Hungry.” At the age of nine, Max started volunteering at a local nursing home in Greenwich, Connecticut. At eleven, he joined his mother, Gina Tucci, with her vision of what is now The Children's Hospital at Montefiori in The Bronx. At sixteen, Tucci became an award- winning photographer, awarded with“The Gold Key in Visual Arts” by Hartford University. At seventeen, he followed in his mother's fashion footsteps and created a woman's collection. Like Clark Kent, upon reaching maturity, Max resolved to use his super abilities for the benefit of humanity. Hence, his involvement with the many charities he is involved with. Now, Max is a true Superhero to teens with neurodiversity that will attend Unicorn Village Academy, a special needs high school being built in Boca Raton in association with The Unicorn Children's Foundation! "Of the many wonderful organizations, my main focus is The Unicorn Children's Foundation and Unicorn Village Academy which will open in the Fall of 2013. My intentions are to raise the most amount of money ever at our annual ball. To quote Mr. Trump, ‘I like thinking big. If you're going to be thinking anything, you might as well think big.’ I'm Trumping him, I'm thinking huge!" expalins Tucci. Max joined The Unicorn Children's Foundation when his friend and now co-chair of the Buddha Ball, Cindi Krost, owner of FuKu Restaurant in West Palm Beach, asked him to join her so she could "introduce him to the organization and see how he could help!" "Upon walking into the doors of ‘The Unicorn,’ I could sense an authentic essence of caring for children with Autism, ADD, ADHD and other neurodiverse learning styles," says Tucci. With his talents of raising funds for the many orginzations that he volunteers for both nationally and internationally, he is taking The Unicorn Children’s Foundation annual gala "2TheMAX!" Max's has called on many of his celebrity friends for the March 16th Buddha Ball, including: Emmy-Nominated Actress, Star of CSI:Miami, Eva La Rue as the evening's Mistress of Ceremony; pianist ELEW, singer Xavier Lewis, and DJ Lina to help him add some entertainment to the evening. The celebrity list shines even brighter, as Mr. and Mrs. Trump agreed to be Co-Chairs with Max. "Mr. Trump was my neighbor while growing up in Greenwich, Connecticut. I have fond childhood memories that include Don Jr., Ivanka, and Eric. However, one of the fondest memories is when Mr. Trump called my mother after the death of my father and told my mother ‘that if she needed any help with anything that he was a phone call away.’ From time to time, my mother will remind me of that story and how of the many of my father's friends, Mr. Trump was one she was able to count on! Now, twenty-six years later, Mr. Trump is someone that I am able to count on. It's a beautiful full circle of neighbors helping neighbors," says Tucci. "The Buddha Ball” is the 13th annual fundraising gala for The Unicorn Children’s Foundation which will take place at Mar-a-Lago on March 16th, 2013. Tucci shares, "It will be an exotic evening of love, peace, compassion, inspiration, festivities, and above all, generosity! Generosity, playing a key role, for it is with the generosity, commitment and dedication of the community that the evening will be a great success not only for The Unicorn Children's Foundation, but for every child with neurodiverse challenges.” As Buddha teaches, many candles will be lit from one! Max is looking forward to having his South Florida neighbors help him shake the foundation on which neurodiversity stands! “Now that truly is a full circle of beauty," says Tucci.
