“Queen of Pearls” Contributes to Unicorn Charity Auction (February 19, 2008)

Picture
Boca Raton, FL – February 19, 2008 –  The Unicorn Children's Foundation (UCF) is the fortunate recipient of a South Sea Pearl Necklace donation valued at $35,000 from Ella and Talila Gafter of Ellagem.  This necklace will be auctioned off at the foundation’s 10th Anniversary Gala Celebration on Friday, March 7th, 2008 at Palm Beach’s most legendary private club.
Valeria Rosenbloom, UCF’s co-president and lifetime grand benefactor, met Talila Gafter at a jewelry photo shoot nearly 15 years ago and Ellagem has been a regular contributor to the foundation throughout its history.    “She is known as the “Pearl Queen” throughout the world and has adorned Royalty and Celebrities alike,” says Rosenbloom.  “We at UCF have been blessed by her kindness and generosity from our inception. This donation of a spectacular South Sea pearl necklace is truly a jewel that represents Ella Gafter and Ellagem’s commitment to our cause.”
Ellagem’s exquisite donation features 27 ungraduated South Sea pearls that are nearly homogeneous in size (approximately 14mm) held together by an 18 carat white gold sphere set with approximately one carat of top quality diamonds.
An auction preview and online bidding is open to the public through March 6th and can be accessed through the foundation’s websitewww.unicornchildrensfoundation.org.  The gala celebration will include dinner, dancing, live and silent auction, raffle, special entertainment, and celebrity guests.  Proceeds of this magnificent evening will support education, awareness and research programs on behalf of children with learning and communication challenges.
The Unicorn Children's Foundation is an international, non-profit organization dedicated to education, awareness, and research on behalf of children with communication and learning disorders.  For more information, please call Sharon Alexander, Executive Director/Director of Programs, 561-620-9377
