​Unicorn Children's Foundation Announces Receipt of Opus Prize Foundation Grant (January 10, 2011)

Boca Raton, FL — January 10, 2011 –  Unicorn Children’s Foundation today announced that it has been awarded a generous grant from the Opus Prize Foundation of the Catholic Community Foundation. This grant will allow the foundation to continue its efforts to improve the quality of life for children and young adults with developmental, communication, and learning disorders.

“We are delighted to receive the support of the Opus Prize Foundation of the Catholic Community Foundation,” stated Sharon Alexander, Executive Director of Unicorn Children’s Foundation. “This grant will support our continued education, awareness, and research efforts to ensure that this special population has every opportunity to lead productive and fulfilling lives.”

The Catholic Community Foundation is the nation’s largest community foundation serving Catholic philanthropy to support the spiritual, educational, and social needs of the community.  The Opus Prize recognizes “unsung heroes who are conquering the world’s most persistent social problems.”  Through this award, the Opus Prize Foundation of the Catholic Community Foundation recognizes Unicorn Children’s Foundation as an organization that is engaged in “important work” on behalf of a growing population of special needs individuals.
