Our Co-Founder and Director of Diversity & Inclusion, Caroline Croft-Estay, has developed the "Grow Well Model", our inclusive employment model that is the backbone of our culture at Vertical Harvest. This program focuses on empowering all employees to thrive by focusing on professional development, personal discovery, and community impact. Our inclusive culture is also based upon the idea of customized employment. This model allows us as the employer to create a unique job for each individual based on their specific goals, passions, strengths, and needs. As a Grow Well team, we also work with each employee to find out the best ways to support them through an individual empowerment plan.
What will I learn during this presentation?
Our presentation would first outline the Grow Well Model as described above and would explain the ways in which we focus on professional development, personal discovery and community impact. We would explain our customized employment model as well and how we tailor a job to each individual based on their passions, goals, strengths, and needs. We would describe in detail how our inclusive culture looks on a day to day basis and would go into detail about our VH culture committees, kickball team, and overall atmosphere of inclusivity. We would describe some of the positives that come from working in an inclusive work environment and why everyone should follow our lead! Our presentation would also have pictures, employee testimonials, program data/ impact, and a small clip from a documentary that was made about our first years of operation called "Hearts of Glass".
