A Magical Night at Unicorn Children's Foundation
Orient Express Gala
(March 7, 2011)

Boca Raton FL – March 7, 2011 –. Grand Honorary Host, Mr. Donald J. Trump, joined a crowd of 400 people at the Orient Express Gala on March 5, 2011 at the Mar-a-Lago Club in Palm Beach. Over a half-million dollars was raised at this prestigious event to support Unicorn Children’s Foundation’s programs that improve the quality of life for children and young adults with developmental and learning disorders like ADHD, Autism, Bipolar, and Dyslexia.

As the train whistle blew and smoke billowed through the room signaling departure, guests received the royal treatment on their opulent journey savoring a delightful feast for the senses.  Broadway sensation and Emmy Award winner, Ms. Lucie Arnaz, welcomed guests as the evening’s Mistress of Ceremonies.  A surprise performance by Lips celebrity impersonators treated guests to classic renditions of Tina Turner. The train rocked the night away to the sounds of south

Florida's one and only Marcia Mitchell Band.

Humphrey Bogart impressionist and auctioneer, Cappy Pillon, along with Lucie Arnaz began the live auction.  Items included a trip for 2 aboard the Venice Simplon Orient-Express, a 3 night journey aboard the 115’ motoryacht, M/Y CLAIRE donated by Merle Wood & Associates, a 7 night stay at the Viceroy Bali, a magnificent sunset flight down the shoreline in one of Universal Jet Aviation Learjets, a 7 night voyage aboard the SeaDream Yacht, and a stunning pair of earrings donated by Daoud’s Fine Jewelry.

Gala chairs Dr. Rafael Cabrera and Lori Cabrera, Eric Dorsky, Juliette Ezagui, Joanne Gabay, Genevieve Murphy, Valeria Rosenbloom, and Jeannette Stark presented awards to several extraordinary members of the foundation: Unicorn Grand Ambassadors Michelle & Ron Yellin, The Founders Award to Karen and Dan Swanson, and The Shining Star Award to Richard Kayne, Dr. Sasson & Renata Moulavi of Smart for Life/Underway. Honorees, Emily Damiano, Yvonne Eldredge, Madeline and Herbert Hillsberg, and Patricia Riley/Clientele were recognized for their continued support and tireless efforts to the organization.  Laura Moore, Karen Swanson, and Teri Wolofsky, were inducted as inaugural members of Unicorn Children’s Foundation Founders Club and presented with an exclusively designed Kaufmann de Suisse gold unicorn pin.

The generosity of the gala patrons, will support Unicorn Children’s Foundation mobile clinic programs, as well as a unique high school for 14-22 year-old students with developmental and learning disorders.  To learn more, visit www.UnicornChildrensFoundation.org or call 561.620.9377 for information.
