Heather L. Apicella is a Principal with the law firm of Apicella Law Group, P.A. and Board Certified by the Florida Bar in Marital and Family Law. She is a member of the Family Law Section of The Florida Bar, Palm Beach County Bar Association, South Palm Beach County Bar Association and Broward County Bar Association, concentrating her practice in the area of Family Law.
Ms. Apicella is the immediate past Chair of the Family Law Section of the Florida Bar. She was elected to the Executive Committee of the Family Law Section in 2018 and she served as the Secretary from 2018-2019; Treasurer from 2019-2020; the Chair-Elect from 2020-2021; and Chair from 2021-2022. She also served on the Executive Council from 2009 until her appointment on the Executive Committee.
Ms. Apicella has been very active in the Family Law Section of the Florida Bar, she served as the past Chair of the Continuing Legal Education (CLE) Committee, past Chair of the Support Issues Committee and past Chair of the Legislation Committee. She is the past Chair of the Finance Committee and past Chair of the Long-Range Planning Committee. She also served as one of four members of the Marital & Family Law Review Course Committee, which is an appointed position that she Chaired in 2019-2020.
Ms. Apicella was also active in the Broward County Bar Association. She is the past Chair of the Family Law Section of the Broward County Bar Association. During her term she was awarded the Practice Section Chair Award in recognition of her leadership and guidance as The Chair of The Family Law Section.
Ms. Apicella was recently named a “2023 Best Lawyer” by the Best Lawyers in America1, which is a recognition she obtained in 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022. She was also honored in 2021 Florida Trend’s Legal Elite. She was named a 2022 Top Up and Comer by South Florida Legal Guide, which is a recognition she has held for the past five years. Ms. Apicella was selected by the National Association of Distinguished Counsel as the Nation’s Top One Percent. Ms. Apicella has the unique communication skills required to enable her to guide her clients through every step of the settlement and/or litigation process.
