(October 19, 2012)

Unicorn Children’s Foundation Announces the 5th Annual Denim, Diamonds and Dice Casino Night
Boca Raton FL – October 19, 2012– You play…Children win!  Unicorn Children’s Foundation presents its first fundraiser of the season – the 5th Annual Denim, Diamonds, and Dice Casino Night on Saturday, November 3, 2012 from 7:00-11:00 pm at the exquisite Ritz-Carlton in Manalapan, Florida.  Proceeds from the evening will support the opening of Unicorn Village Academy, a specialized high school in South Florida for students with neurodevelopmental challenges between the ages of 14 and 22.
All the excitement of Las Vegas and Monte Carlo in your own backyard with gaming provided by Casino Party Nights Florida*!  Event Chairs Kathleen Grace, Sarah Hassan and Tabitha LeTourneau bring you this sparkling yet denim clad benefit that will honor Dr. Rafael and Lori Cabrera for their incredible dedication and generosity to the foundation.
Join sponsors Broward Bank of Commerce, Bank United, Sunshine State Health Plan, and NAV TV Corp and try your luck at craps, roulette, blackjack, and slots for a chance to win high value prizes, including the grand prize raffle of a trip to Las Vegas.  The evening is sure to have something for everyone with lavish hors d’oeuvres, delicious desserts and an open bar.  Guests will also have the opportunity to win fabulous prizes during a silent auction, split the pot in our 50/50 raffle, or win a spectacular 14kt gold and diamond pendant generously donated by Gregory’s Fine Jewelry in his 3rd Annual Grab Bag Raffle.
LA Celebrity “Hugh Heffner” and his playboy bunnies will be on hand to greet guests as they try their hand and roll the dice at this electrifying event for only $125 per person for general admission or $225 for VIP tickets!  Entry fee for the Texas Hold’Em Tournament is $250 with a chance to win a $2,500 maximum cash prize!
This event promises to be another winner for children affected by neurodevelopmental disorders, such as Autism, ADHD, Asperger’s, Bipolar, Dyslexia, and other learning disorders.  To date, Unicorn Children’s Foundation has awarded in excess of $2,600,000 to support various education, awareness, and research initiatives around the world.
Sharon Alexander, Executive Director shared “We are grateful to our supporters who will enable us to fill a gap in available services in the community for adolescents with neurodiversity.  Unicorn Village Academy, unlike most traditional high school models, allows students the rare opportunity to master their “life-skills” and vocational abilities through a variety of community experiences and internships.”  Opening of Unicorn Village Academy is August 2013.
