Dr. Anthony N. Dardano Crowned Unicorn Children's Foundation ‘Queen of the Night’

Picture
Fort Lauderdale, FL – October 28, 2018 – The Unicorn Children’s Foundation held its wildly popular Halloween-themed cabaret drag show at LIPS in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and is pleased to announce that it was a RESOUNDING SUCCESS!  More than $20,000 was raised to directly support programs that help redefine what is possible for kids with special needs.

While guests enjoyed their repast and drinks, Dr. Anthony N. Dardano (Plastic Surgeon), along with Kurtis Lutz (MODA Salon) transformed into dazzling Divas and absolutely stunned the audience with individual performances that were also interspersed with acts by the talented and amazing LIPS Divas.  In addition, guests themselves were encouraged to dress in costume in the spirit of Halloween, and actively participated in a costume contest for amazing prizes.  Unicorn’s very own Founding President and Board of Director, Juliette Ezagui, took first place with her fantastic Queen costume.

Dr. Anthony N. Dardano ended up with the most votes and was not only bestowed the title of ‘Queen of the Night’, but was also awarded the uniquely beautiful and coveted Stiletto Trophy. Proceeds from the 3rd Annual Halloween Masquerade will help build communities of acceptance, support, and opportunity for kids and young adults who are challenged by special needs and neurodiversity through the creation of cradle to career initiatives.

“We are so thrilled with the great response to this fun event”, said Sharon Alexander, Chief Executive Officer of the Unicorn Children’s Foundation. “We could not be more proud of our special guest divas with big hearts, generous sponsors and the one and only Lips, all of which helped make this such a success.”

A big THANK YOU to our 2 leading men, and also our sponsors: Pinnacle Advertising, Anthony N. Dardano, DO, FACS, The Gail Wasserman Family Foundation, Boca Voice, Two Broads from Boca, LIPS Ft. Lauderdale, and Simply the Best Magazine. Finally, Unicorn wishes to thank LIPS for their outstanding service, venue, and show.
