Boca Raton, FL – January 3, 2008 – The Unicorn Children's Foundation (UCF) hosted a holiday luncheon on December 19th at Opus 5 inBoca Raton. UCF is an international nonprofit organization which is headquartered in South Florida working on behalf of children with learning and communication challenges, such as autism, ADHD, aspergers, dyslexia, etc.. Guests at the luncheon donated toys which will be delivered to Chase’s Place, a special needs after school, and camp program, at the Peter Blum Family YMCA of Boca Raton. Sharon Alexander, UCF’s executive director, said “Nearly 1 in every 5 children is affected by some form of learning and communication challenge. Chase’s Place was a logical selection as beneficiary of our holiday toy drive as it expands opportunities for these children and their families.” In addition to the toy drive, the luncheon was held to recognize the hard work of UCF volunteers who work tirelessly throughout the year planning the foundation’s annual fundraising gala. This year’s 10th anniversary, “Key to the Golden Palace,” will be held on Friday, March 7, 2008 at Palm Beach’s legendary Mar-a-Lago Club. Mr. Donald J. Trump will be the Grand Honorary Host of the evening which will entice the senses of guests with dinner, dancing, live and silent auction, raffle, and special entertainment..
