"Each child is unique in his or her wishes, aspirations, and challenges. Children with special needs often have significant challenges in the way they take in sounds and words, plan and carry out actions, and regulate basic sensations. New insights and approaches to assessments, diagnosis and intervention, however, are enabling parents, clinicians, and educators to help all children improve their chances of mastering their challenges, translate their wishes into organized actions and ideas, relate warmly to others, and enjoy communicating and thinking. Unicorn Children's Foundation is leading our national effort to enable each and every child to benefit from these new insights to pursue the growth of their minds, finding their dreams, and making their aspirations become a reality."
